Andy is the founding Partner of Nine Wealth Management, a Senior Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management. He has over 25 years experience in the insurance and financial services industries and had been a Partner at St. James's Place for the last seven. Andy focuses primarily on the SME/Business owner market and successful high net worth individuals, including sports professionals. Andy, as a business owner himself, understands and appreciates the challenges of running a business and the need for security whilst striving to maximise the end goal. Andy offers bespoke wealth management advice helping clients achieve their Financial goals and long-term security through cash flow modeling.
Andy was educated at Swansea and Cambridge Universities, playing in the 1989 and 1990 Varsity Match at Twickenham. He was a professional rugby player with Cardiff and Swansea and represented Wales at all levels including Wales at the 1991 World Cup. He also had the honour of playing for Crawshays, Scottish Co-optimists and The Barbarians on many occasions. Andy is an Ambassador for local charity Velindre Cancer Centre and on the Board of The Cardiff Blues Former Players Foundation, as well as the Cardiff St James’s Place Foundation.
Andy is married to Lianne and they have 3 daughters, Lizzie, Alys and Gracie.
Simon was educated at University of South Wales where he obtained first class honours in Accountancy and Finance, alongside representing the University’s Rugby 1st team. He went on to play semi-professional rugby in the Welsh Championship League whilst studying to become a Chartered Accountant. Simon is working towards becoming a chartered financial planner.
Simon has an active lifestyle, with a keen interest in most sports, particularly rugby, squash, skiing and more recently cross fit. Simon is a proud father of one boy ‘Morgan’ and fortunate to have a loving wife ‘Angharad’ who puts up with him!
Abigail has supported members of the St. James’s Place Partnership for the past 3 years previously providing administrative support to the Partners and advisers. She plays a vital role in co-ordination, communications and document exchanges between Partners, clients, providers and St. James’s Place. Prior to working for Nine Wealth Management, Abigail had previously worked for an independent Financial specialist firm, where she worked in the administration department.
Abigail graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Swansea Metropolitan with a BSc (Hons) In Computing and information Systems, and later a master’s degree in applied computing.
In her spare time Abigail enjoys following all sports, particularly supporting the rugby and has recently joined her local netball league and regularly attends Tae Bo and Boxercise fitness classes. Aside from this, Abigail enjoys taking her dog Milo for long walks on the weekends along the local sea front. This year, Abigail will be taking part in the big walk for Prostate Cymru for the second time and hopes to raise as much as she can to help this vitally important charity.
Stacey Lane is currently the Trainee Paraplanner for Nine Wealth Management, having recently gained the Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers with the London Institute of banking and Finance and will embark on the St. James’s Place Paraplanning Academy in the summer. Stacey has a keen eye for detail and enjoys the data analysis side of her role. In her previous roles, Stacey has over 2 years’ experience of retail banking with RBS/Natwest and was a Trainee Paraplanner for an independent boutique financial advisor firm in Cardiff. Stacey graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA in History and Politics, and an MA in History. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys running and hiking with her two dogs – Louis and Frankie.
